This tutorial assumes you have already downloaded a web3 wallet like MetaMask, and that you have Ether or a token in that wallet on the Ethereum mainnet. If you don’t have a wallet, visit our portal here to download one.

1. Add the Arbitrum One network

Add an Arbitrum Network manually by following the steps below.

Click on the metamask extension > click on “Ethereum Mainnet” network > click on “Add Network” at the end of the menu, and enter the information corresponding the the Arbitrum chain you want to connect to:

• Network Name: Arbitrum One

• RPC: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc

• Chain ID: 42161

• Currency Symbol: ETH

• Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io

• Network Name: Arbitrum Nova

• RPC: https://nova.arbitrum.io/rpc

• Chain ID: 42170

• Currency Symbol: ETH

• Block Explorer URL: https://nova-explorer.arbitrum.io

If you’re a developer you can use Alchemy, Infura, or Quicknode as an alternative way to connect to Arbitrum One.

For Arbitrum Nova, currently you can use Quicknode as an alternative.
